Frequently asked questions
What does it mean that my children have 24/7 support?
The programme staff are available to provide support and supervision to students 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Are the studies they take officially recognised?
Participants can follow two official programmes: Spanish secondary education (in English or Spanish) or the American high school diploma, making validation processes easy to manage. Participants will have no problem continuing their studies upon arrival or when they return.
What level of academic and social support is offered to students in the programme?
The success of an academic programme of this kind is based on three factors: the student’s rapid integration, the acquisition of basic language skills in a short period of time, and constant academic and social support. Each student will have a personal tutor who will monitor their academic and social progress and serve as a link with the family. In addition, they will receive Spanish lessons on a daily basis.
What type of accommodation is provided, and what is the quality of life in the surrounding environment?
Accommodation in the academic programmes—school year and tailor-made stays—will always be with a Spanish host family whose children attend the same school. Since participants are minors, this helps facilitate their integration and adaptation to the new environment. On the other hand, in the sports programme there are two options: staying with a Spanish host family or in a residence together with other players and students.
What is the duration of the programme, and on which dates will it take place?
There are different programme options. The full school year lasts 10 months, from September to June. However, it is also possible to take a shorter stay ranging from 1 to 9 months.
If I choose to spend the full school year in Spain, will I also have advanced a grade in my home country?
We try to validate all academic requirements, always taking into account the educational model of each country. You should check this with your current school, but the aim of this programme is to make progress in both educational systems.
